What do I want you to take home from this today? I want you to think about what it means for Christ to be our everything. If you believe in God, if you believe in Jesus Christ, that is good. But I hope that we will all take it a step further. Not only to live with Christ, but also to live for Christ. If you want that same confidence that Paul has in Christ, you have to live for Christ. Because he is not a God that was created to serve us. No, we were the ones created to serve Him.
With Christ as our greatest motivation, as our ultimate goal, we can live with confidence, knowing that we are firmly and lovingly in His hands.
For God has said: Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.
So we say with confidence: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
